I’m ambitious for Norfolk & Suffolk
I’m standing to be the first Mayor of Norfolk & Suffolk because our region deserves leadership that is ambitious, outward-looking, and grounded in the reality of people’s lives. Too many decisions about our future are made far away, with little understanding of our rural economies, coastal challenges, or the creativity and resilience that define our communities. Devolution gives us a once-in-a-generation chance to change that – but only if we seize it with purpose, partnership and urgency.
I believe in a future where Norfolk & Suffolk is known not for what we lack, but for what we lead: clean energy, thriving towns, fair opportunity, and a proud sense of place.
My priorities as Mayor will be:
Good jobs & fair growth: Backing local enterprise, social businesses and skills so opportunity is created here and felt here.
Affordable, sustainable homes: Accelerating delivery, cutting red tape, and putting communities at the heart of development.
Climate leadership, not climate delay: Making our region the UK’s clean energy powerhouse while lowering bills and supporting rural transport.
A stronger voice for our region: Winning the funding, influence and investment we’ve been denied for too long.
Making buses better in Norfolk & Suffolk
Buses are absolutely vital for connecting our communities, powering our local economy, and ensuring our children can get to school and college. But across Norfolk and Suffolk, people are telling me their services are becoming increasingly unaffordable and unreliable.
